Dr Joshua Jacob, BMed, MD, FRCPA, FRACP, is a dedicated Allergy Specialist and Clinical Immunologist committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients living with allergies and other immune system disorders. He manages patients from 6 months of age through to adulthood.
Dr Jacob values a collaborative approach to patient management and is committed to providing referring GPs with prompt, clear communication and accessible specialist support. Dr Jacob is dual-trained as a Physician and Pathologist, holding fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).
Conditions Managed:
- Skin Allergies: Hives (urticaria), eczema and other allergic skin conditions.
- Respiratory Allergies: Hay fever (allergic rhinitis), asthma, and chronic rhinosinusitis.
- Food Allergies: IgE mediated, non-IgE mediated.
- Medication Allergies: immediate hypersensitivity, delayed hypersensitivity.
- Autoimmune Disorders: SLE, Sjögren’s syndrome, vasculitis, inflammatory arthritis.
- Recurrent Infections: Investigation of recurrent or unusual infections.
- Immunodeficiency: Suspected or confirmed immunodeficiencies.
- Guidance on immunology and allergy laboratory test interpretation.
